This policy explains what information this website collects when you use it, how it is used and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website is run by P & D Cuisine / Catering, a Haitian catering business based in Brockton, Massachusetts. You can reach us at pdcuisinecatering@gmail.com or 857-244-5641.

What we collect

We only receive information you choose to send through a form on this website. The forms ask for:

• Catering quote request: event type, event date, town or city, approximate guest count, preferred service style (optional), notes, your name, phone number, email address and how you prefer to be contacted.
• Tray order request: the trays you selected (dish, size and quantity), the date you need them, an optional ready-by time, delivery or a pickup question, the delivery town, your name, phone number, email address and any notes or allergy information you add.
• General question: your name, email address and message.

When you send a form, the form service also records technical details with it, such as the time it was sent, the page it came from, your IP address and your browser type.

We do not take payment online and do not ask for card or bank details. Please don’t include sensitive information you don’t want us to have in a notes or message field.

Information stored in your browser

When you build a tray order on the Menu page, your selection (dish, size and quantity — no name or contact details) is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is still there when you continue to the request form. It is treated as expired after 7 days without changes, and it is removed after a request is sent.

After a request is sent, a short note (the type of request and the time — no personal details) is kept in your browser’s session storage for up to 30 minutes so the thank-you page can confirm it. It is read once and then deleted.

This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your request: to prepare a quote, confirm a tray order, arrange delivery and answer your question. We do not use them for marketing messages.

Who receives it

Forms on this website are received and stored by Netlify, the service that hosts the website, which checks submissions for spam automatically. Netlify then sends a copy of each submission by email to the person who manages this website for P & D Cuisine / Catering.

The people who run P & D Cuisine / Catering and manage this website can see your request. We share details with others only when needed to carry out your request, for example the venue or a décor partner for your event, and we will tell you when that is the case.

How long we keep it

Submissions are kept in our Netlify account, and notification emails and emails you exchange with us in our inbox, until we delete them. We do not set a fixed retention period. You can ask us to delete your request at any time (see “Your choices”).

Cookies & analytics

Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how many people send a request, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) in your browser and receives technical information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and whether you used a menu, phone link, email link or form. It does not receive what you type into our forms, such as your name, email address, phone number or message. Advertising features are turned off.

Google Analytics does not load if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not given analytics cookies. You can also turn analytics off for this browser with the button at the end of this policy.

We do not use advertising or other tracking tools. Fonts and icons are served from the website itself, not from third-party services.

Like most websites, the hosting service processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Translation: if you choose a language from the language menu, the page loads a translation tool from GTranslate, and the page’s text is sent to Google’s translation service to translate it in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you use the language menu. Your language choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage.

Security

Pages and forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing pdcuisinecatering@gmail.com or calling 857-244-5641. When we delete a request, we remove it from our form account and the related emails.

You can clear the information stored in your browser at any time (see “Information stored in your browser”), and turn Google Analytics off for this browser (see “Cookies & analytics”).

Children

This website is meant for adults planning catering. It is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
